Spin this seductively packaged disc and down the rabbit hole you'll go to find Ivana turned goth rock chick with a stronger voice and message than ever before. Music maestro Alex Voorhees brings a powerful, ambitious, richly orchestrated new style to this 4th CD that makes you gasp at how grown-up the whole show sounds. There's a darker, deeper spirit in the music than before, yet it is also pushing harder toward the light. I keep circling back to the striking, catchy ''Bad Girl'' with Ivana's shouted ''I know what you're doin'. Stop!'' Of course, her sweet side still lives on for lovely harmonizing ballads like ''Different Colors'', weaves its spell between face-melting guitar solos like the ones in ''Forgotten Song'' and ''For My Hope'', and shows new skills by singing both impassioned sides of a duet amongst the soaring orchestral grandeur of ''Fairytale''. All this colourful music has me seeing colours of my own! Then I take another look at the artwork provided and it has my visions beat. This red-hot dryad and her team are in the fullness of their powers. You WILL buy this disc. You WILL learn these tunes. You WILL bow down to your Goddess, gentlemen. Rock on \m/

A collection of 13 great original songs, ranging in styles such as rock, pop, ballad and beaty dance, all different and sung beautifully by Ivana with great music backing her vocals. I do like her sweet voice singing the melodic Fairtale, although it is difficult to pick a favourite song. Ivana never fails to produce, this is her 4th wonderful album. Plus it contains a little booklet with great pictures of the beautiful artist.

Oh Ivana, what a wonderful CD. Your vocals are just amazing. I haven't picked a favorite song yet cuz they're all my favorites! The music is also amazing especially blasting in my truck. I thank you Ivana for all your hard work and heart you put into each & every song. Much love always, Nimrod

I have also received my wonderful copy of "DIFFERENT", it's definitely a great name for Ivana's latest CD, as it is very different to Ivana's other great CDs, great lyrics and music by Alex Voorhees, plus wonderful singing and all of the other great work by Ivana has made this a great CD to have in your collection, I absolutely love it. :)

I received my pre-ordered CDs and also one of the collectible wine boxes a few days later! I was very impressed with the quality and artwork on both items, and how they survived going through the postal system. The CD is spectacular with a few prior releases and 9 completely new tracks which are quite "Different" from her previous albums. Alex Voorhees has given her a canvas of words,music and instrumental tracks for Ivana to work her vocal magic on. I can't wait to see what she puts in her videos as they are released over the coming months. If "Take The Chance" is any example, we are in for a real treat! The Wine Box is sturdily constructed and has a gorgeous image of our favorite songstress on the sliding lid. Ivana included a signed picture of her holding the wine box which adds to its uniqueness! I'm very pleased with my new acquisitions, and hope they sell well so Ivana can continue to sing for us for many years to come!

Different is a great CD , thirteen beautifully performed songs with beautiful vocals . Ivana puts her heart into every song on this CD , Its a beautiful CD from a beautiful singer . So happy to add this CD to my collection ...love it !!

Listened to the CD today in my car whilst traveling to work. It's the best one yet. The quality of the songs, production and singing have all taken a huge leap forward ❤️❤️

My highest recommendation! Ivana´s new CD Different exceeded all my expectations and this physical CD is a piece of art with perfect poses of the most beautiful woman and the booklet contains more pictures of lovely Ivana. I am really pleased to have my name on it. The CD contains wonderful selection of different kind of songs, beginning with high-powered Magical Feeling and Take The Chance is great dance music. Ivana has amazing and unique voice that sounds the most beautiful to me and her voice has developed to more adult way. Songs like Forgotten Song and especially Fairytale are challenging, but she sing them perfectly. And finally an instrumental fireworks, the rock song For My Hope; there is magic to get piano sound this good. Take your time, close your eyes and listen. Perfect.

I have the physical copy of " Different". Its a Must for any Ivana fans of course, but it is also a testament of how Ivana's singing has matured. These songs are not easy to perform, with sudden changes mid tempo. Full marks to Ivana, and Alex. The album lives up to its name!.

Now that I’ve had a chance to listen to this album via digital download (Don't worry, my signed copies are on their way.) I am so entertained and captivated by the stories the songs tell. I imagine Ivana chose her music partner because he works with her to create songs that speak from her heart and life experiences also and not just his. I love the stories and wonder what happened in ones life to help create / tell / share their story in such powerful ways. Great score and instruments used. Classic Ivana vocals with an experiment into a supercharged twist on her style of music. I really can’t wait for the music videos to start following. That is always another special occasion, but this works very nicely while I’m driving on the road. #CheeRs

“Different” is a magical musical experience. Beautiful vocalist Ivana Van der Veen’s performances showcase her versatility as a singer. The title of the album is very appropriate considering the varied styles of music explored and the diversity of instruments used on the songs. I composed and arranged each song to give Ivana a wonderful stage on which to share her many talents. I put all my years of knowledge about composing, arranging and using standard and exotic instruments into this brand new creation called “Different”. The album is a mixture of avant-garde, pop with rock, and elegant electronic beats with a bit of sensuality suited to Ivana’s style. Something for everyone! Well, I guess I'll give 5 stars for the pre-order experience! :D Ivana always thanks me quickly and profusely for a purchase and almost always delivers more than I expect. With this, I support a release in advance, lifting a little of the cost of printing a whole new run of discs off Ivana's shoulders, and getting a smile from knowing I'm showing faith in her future <3 Plus I wanna get my copy as soon as possible! She's been promising something different with the artwork. I can't wait.
